# What is Sine
In trigonometry (for acute angles only), the tangent of a right-angled triangle is defined as "the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the hypotenuse".
Sinθ = a / c
Due to its relation with cos and tan, it can also be calculated by:
Sinθ = Cosθ × Tanθ
# Law of sines (or sine rule)
Rule for finding Sides
a / sin A = b / sin B = c / sin C
Rule for finding Angles
sin A / a = sin B / b = sin C / c
